The Happy Table Double Bed is ideal for people who regularly work from home but have limited space for both a double bed and a study area. It’s also perfect for students and anyone keen to make the most of their valuable living space.
Whether you’re choosing furniture for a studio flat, small bedroom or one-bedroom property, the Happy Table Double Bed provides an excellent space-saving solution. It looks great and is superbly-designed, giving you all the functionality of both a work area and a very comfortable, foldaway double bed.
The unit frees up valuable floor space when the bed is not in use, maximising your living area and making even the smallest room feel more spacious. The modular design also means you can add useful extras such as wardrobes, bookcase or shelving – giving you even more storage options.
- The bed does not open or close on its own, ensuring safe and controlled use.
- The unique wall bed mechanism keeps the desk in a parallel position to the floor at all times – so you can open or close the bed without having to clear away the items on your desk.
- Chrome-Plated Hardware: The desk mechanism features a chrome finish, providing a decorative look, superior corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, and increased surface hardness.
- The bed can also be left made up using the bedding strap provided, so unlike a sofa bed you will not need to make the bed up after each sleep.
- The folding desk bed mechanism, designed and produced in Europe by Multimo, has a minimum lifetime of at least 10 years – and significantly longer with careful usage. Today, many of our customers are making good use of wall beds they purchased more than 25 years ago.
The Happy Table Double Bed isn’t just space-saving, it’s also time-saving. One of the great benefits of this unique Multimo wall bed design is that there is no need to completely clear your desk when you’re ready to go to bed! The desk element stays horizontal during the opening and closing of the bed so you can just leave all your work items out on the desk and they won’t move. Similarly, in the mornings, when you’re ready to put the bed away, you can leave it made up (using the bedding strap provided) so, unlike a sofa bed, you don’t need to make the bed up after each sleep.

Safe opening & closing
We are often asked about the risk of a wall bed opening or closing unexpectedly. Fortunately, all Multimo Furniture products incorporate gas-spring mechanisms to ensure fail-safe opening and closing. The gas-spring mechanism prevents operation until an opposite force is applied. In other words, unless a certain manual strength is used, the system simply cannot open or close by itself.- All Multimo products are designed for daily use and can be used as both a primary and guest bed.
- The mattress base is supported by an aluminium frame and slats for extra comfort and increasing the durability. Engineered for maximum ergonomic comfort and breathability.
