With limited space, the addition of a conventional double bed can make it almost impossible to walk around and, once you start adding extra furniture such as wardrobes and shelves, space is limited even further.

When closed, the Simple Double measures just 38cm in depth and is virtually imperceptible in your room. When opened, you benefit from a very comfortable double bed. There are no complicated mechanisms or unnecessary features — just a reliable, well-engineered transition from day to night.

All Multimo products are designed for daily use and can be used as both as your main bed or as a guest bed – so it’s also ideal for holiday homes, hotels, hostels or student accommodation.

The Simple Double isn’t just space-saving, it’s also time-saving. In the mornings, when you’re ready to put the bed away, you can leave it made up (using the bedding strap provided) so, unlike a sofa bed, you don’t need to make the bed up after each sleep.

Safe opening & closing

We are often asked about the risk of a wall bed opening or closing unexpectedly. Fortunately, all Multimo Furniture products incorporate gas-spring mechanisms to ensure fail-safe opening and closing. The gas-spring mechanism prevents operation until an opposite force is applied. In other words, unless a certain manual strength is used, the system simply cannot open or close by itself.

With children in mind, the Simple Double also offers the extra reassurance of a secure child lock so it can’t be opened accidentally.

Reliable and durable

The wall bed mechanism has a lifetime of at least 10 years – and significantly longer with careful usage. Today, many of our customers are still making good use of wall beds they purchased more than 25 years ago!

The Simple Double is produced with a high-quality laminated chipboard, which is EU quality standard. The metal profile and slats used for bed base make the product even stronger. All visible or hidden edges are banded with PVC material.

• Durable Materials: Manufactured from 18 mm and 30 mm melamine-coated chipboard, offering a solid structure with an elegant, long-lasting finish.

• Security: Child lock to prevent unauthorized opening.

Delivery Lead Time

Most complete systems are in stock. Mainland UK delivery times - please allow up to 1-2 weeks for products in stock. Fast UK delivery may be arranged dependent on location - contact us for more details. If product is showing as available on back order, please contact us so we can advise on a realistic delivery timescale based on your location. Whilst complete wall bed furniture systems may be in stock and available, some are manufactured to order, predominantly orders containing products with fabric such as custom headboards and sofas. We aim to deliver custom orders within 12-16 weeks for delivery. Please bear in mind that supply chain issues beyond our control may impact lead times, but we continue to do our best to accommodate requirements. If your order is urgent or you have any questions regarding lead times, please contact us before placing the order, so we can provide a realistic timescale for delivery. If required, we can hold stock for customers until they are ready to receive their order. We appreciate not all customers can take quick delivery, so are able to keep hold of their order until they are able to receive it. By placing an order this allocates the stock until it is ready for dispatch.
